XQE-PLN-0001 or XQE-GEN-002 When Authoring a DQM Report

Troubleshooting


Problem

The user launches any studio against a DQM package and tries to expand the parent package node. Cognos 10.1.1 throws an error: XQE-PLN-0001 Internal error. The query could not be planned by the Query Service. Cognos 10.2 throws a different error: XQE-GEN-0002 An unexpected exception occurred: For input string: "". For users on 10.1.1, installing 10.1.1 Fix Pack 1 to resolve PM58959 did not fix the issue.

Symptom

Check the java stack for: Caused by: java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string:
"9999999999999"

Cause

One of the governor values is too large. It could be on any property for which a numeric value is entered manually.

Resolving The Problem

Check the governors in the DMR model.

In Framework Manager, from the menu bar, click Project > Edit Governors...

Find the high value and lower it to 999999999 or lower.
