Problem
If the WSCLEAR runtime option is used instead of the LE runtime STORAGE option for VS COBOL II programs, there is the possibility the processing for the programs might fail. The WSCLEAR runtime option is not supported by the LE runtime routines, you should use the STORAGE runtime option.
Resolving The Problem
The LE runtime STORAGE option should be used for VS COBOL II programs with current releases of CICS Transaction Server for z/OS.
