Beginning with version 8.9, GA Q4 2022, Work Centers and Anywhere Mobile applications are removed from Maximo Application Suite (MAS).
Starting with MAS v8.9, Work Centers and Anywhere Mobile applications will be removed from the Maximo Application Suite and will no longer be supported. Removal will occur over several releases of the Maximo Application Suite as the capabilities become available in new applications.
Going forward, the applications are created using the Maximo Application Framework. The applications include Maximo Mobile and role-based applications like the Technician and Inspections, Operational Dashboard/Maintenance Manager, and Asset Manager.
All Maximo EAM customers that migrate to MAS Manage will be instructed to use the new Maximo Mobile and role-based applications whose features correspond with the capabilities of the previous Work Center or Anywhere applications.
The Maximo EAM to Maximo Application Suite upgrade documentation will be updated to include a mapping of the existing Work Center or Anywhere application to the new applications that have similar features and functionality.
There is no migration tooling to move customizations from Work Centers or Anywhere applications to the new applications.
Note: Maximo Asset Management 7.6.1.x will continue to support Work Centers and Anywhere through EOS on Sept 30, 2025. The EAM 7.6.1.x EOS Announcement is found here: IBM Announcement Letter #922-024.
