Question & Answer
Question
Why Is SFDC Linked to ICM Web Not Working, but Native Access Works Fine?
Answer
Issue:
You are not able to connect to ICM Web via SaleForce (SFDC).
However the native login method works fine.
Error Message:
On ICM Web you see the error message "Authentication failed. Either you are not authorized to view this page or your session is expired."
In varicent.log file you see this error "TLS 1.0 has been disabled in this organization. Please use TLS 1.1 or higher when connecting to Salesforce using https".
Resolution:
According to SFDC's Support site (http://help.salesforce.com/HTViewSolution?id=000232847&language=en_US) to help customers test and prepare for the TLS 1.0 deprecation Salesforce has provided customers with the Critical Update feature Require TLS 1.1 or higher for HTTPS.
Please following steps below to disable this feature:
-?Navigate to Setup
-?In the Quick Find bar type in Critical Updates
- Select Critical Updates?
- Locate the Require TLS 1.1 or higher for HTTPS connections under the Update Name column
- Click on Deactivate.

This feature comes deactivated by default. If you find it activated already it might have been done unintentionally by an administrator. The respective entry for that change can be found in the Setup Audit Trail.?
