Why my TXSeries region going down on receiving the SIGSEGV in a CICSAS process?

Question & Answer

Question

Why my TXSeries region going down on receiving the SIGSEGV in a CICSAS process?

Answer

While executing the application in a CICSAS process if the CICSAS process receives any SIGSEGV signal, the TXSeries CICS runtime will handle the signal and take the necessary action.

If the CICS_CORE_ON_ASRA is set in the region, then the CICSAS signal handlers are disabled. When a signal is received in a CICSAS process during the execution of application, the operating takes the default signal action and generates the core for the process.

If the CICSAS process received a signal after holding a crucial mutex, then the region will bring down by the CICS application manager process to keep the CICS runtime consistent.
