Why following simple insert statement fails with SQL1585N error? db2 "create table test1(c1 clob(50))" db2 "Create table test2 (c1 varchar(20))" $ db2 "insert into test1 select distinct null as c1 from test2" DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was not a valid Command Line Processor command. During SQL processing it returned: SQL1585N A temporary table could not be created because there is no available system temporary table space that has a compatible page size. SQLSTATE=54048
