Why do my jobs using Intel MPI implementation fail to run?

Troubleshooting

Problem

Why do my jobs using Intel MPI implementation fail to run?

Resolving The Problem

Why do my jobs using Intel MPI implementation fail to run?

Symptom: Jobs using the Intel MPI implementation failed to run.

Explanation: By default, the Intel MPI uses rsh to communicate between nodes.

Solution: If you did not configure rsh, you need to explicitly pass the --rsh=ssh command to manually use ssh. For example,

# mpdboot --rsh=ssh -n 6 -f mpd.hosts

# mpirun --rsh=ssh -n 6 benchmarks/hpl/bin/GBE-intel-mpi/xhpl
