Why do I get a HTTP error 400 (bad request) when I press the "CS Admin" button?

Question & Answer

Question

Each time you press the "CS Admin" button in SAP transaction "oac0" you get an HTTP error 400 (bad request).

Answer

By using the CS Admin button, you can open an administrative view for the SAP Content Server. Because this functionality is not part of the SAP ArchiveLink interface and is supported by the SAP Content Server only, IBM® DB2® CommonStore returns an HTTP error 400 (bad request).

To prevent this error, do not use the CS Admin button in combination with CommonStore repositories. Use the CommonStore executables (archpro, archstop, archadmin) and the CommonStore configuration file (archint.ini) to administrate the CommonStore server instead.
