Question & Answer
Question
Why are you unable to create a project in Watson Studio?
Answer
To be able to create a project in the Watson Studio service, you must meet the following conditions:
- Be logged in to an IBM Cloud Account.
- Have the Watson Studio service provisioned through https://cloud.ibm.com/ or Cloud Pak for Data as a Service.
- Have the IBM Cloud Object Storage service provisioned through https://cloud.ibm.com/ or Cloud Pak for Data as a Service.
- Have both the Watson Studio and IBM Cloud Object Storage services provisioned in the same space.
- Have appropriate permissions in the account
- If you are a non-administrative user, then the account administration must add you as a user with editor access to all services in a specific resource group for you to be able to create projects. Refer to How do I find my account administrator and Add non-administrative users to your IBM Cloud account for steps for the administrator.
- In addition, a project requires that you link a Cloud Object Storage instance to each new project. If you provisioned a Cloud Object Storage instance previously, it is automatically selected for the new project. If you are unable to add storage, make sure that your administrator completed the steps in Enable non-administrative users to create projects and catalogs.
- For some situations, verify that Watson Studio is a service available in your account. Refer to Known issues and limitations for Watson Studio.
