Various VMware logs are useful for diagnostic purposes, where are they located?
Answer
Logs such as the vmware.log and hostd.log, among others, are often useful for determining problems with VMware snapshot backups and other problems. These are VMware logs and should be on the ESXI system.
The following documents from VMware describe how to locate the log files.
