Troubleshooting

Problem

What is a .vux file?

Resolving The Problem

QUESTION:

What is a .vux file?

ANSWER:

The .vux is a compiled version of the script for LSB systems. When you
run the compiler (or when TestManager does it for you), it creates both a
.vux and a .xuv file and stores these in the win32 directory under the
scripts directory. The .xuv is the MSB compiled version (for UNIX agents).
During playback, the .vux is what is actually executed, not the .s. The
.vux has to exist prior to the playback starting up or the software would
have tried to re-compile to build it. For Windows agents, the .vux files
needed on an agent are automatically copied to it.
