What GIS software is supported by IBM i2 Analyst's Notebook ?

Question & Answer

Question

What are the GIS (Geographic Information System) that are supported by IBM i2 Analyst's Nootebook ?
And what to do if I want to use another GIS software ?

Answer

Analyst's Notebook comes with 2 connectors to GIS softwares :
 - ESRI Maps
 - Google Earth
The ESRI Maps connector is not installed by default. You must perform a custom install to have it available in ANB.
Both software, by default, connect to a public GIS portal, and this means that your computer must be able to access Internet.
It is possible, if your company has an ESRI server, to configure the ESRI Maps connector so that it connects to your local ESRI server. In this case, no data or query will go out nor in from Internet.
If you want to use a GIS software that is not ESRI nor Google Earth, then you must create a new RFE (Request for Enhancement).
