Troubleshooting
Problem
The following problems are often reported with the Process Portal Search Index:
- Process Portal users cannot search and find some tasks because the Process Portal search index is out of sync with the operational data (tasks and process instances)
- High CPU usage in the database server, deadlocks, or lock timeouts caused by queries related to the indexing tables (BPM_TASK_INDEX or BPM_INSTANCE_INDEX)
- General Process Portal performance slowness
Symptom
Some of the symptoms that indicate the Process Portal search index is out of sync include:
- Process Portal users are unable to search and find particular tasks in Process Portal
- Quick Stats in the Team Performance dashboard are noticeably incorrect
- Team Performance dashboard task list is missing tasks or shows tasks in an incorrect state
- Processes dashboard process instance list is missing process instances or showing instances in the wrong state
