Question
What is an EE XID timeout flood attack?
Answer
An EE XID flood attack is detected by Intrusion Detection Services (IDS) when the number of EE XID timeouts received in a one minute interval is equal to the EEXIDtimeout value, which is set in the action for the EE_XID_FLOOD IDS policy. If not set, this value is 100 for an active EE_XID_FLOOD IDS policy.

Message EZZ8678I is issued to indicate to the operator an EE XID flood attack has ended.
