WebSphere Partner Gateway - SSLHandshakeException: Violated path length constraints

Troubleshooting


Problem

SSL transaction failed by SSLHandshakeException. Error message observed: First delivery attempt failed for message 130214662936200144FFBD3AC0151254272214B9A4A0A2B due to 'com.ibm.bcg.util.BcgException : Creation failed javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: com.ibm.jsse2.util.h: Violated path length constraints', on Destination 'HTTPS1.1_1301979295731@abc.com' (id=341)

Resolving The Problem

Usually this error implies that the certification path of the server end does not meet the length constraints, (for example, there are missing certificate, or unnecessary certificate.). This problem would be fixed on server end, please manually check the length constraints of every certificate in the certificate path from server.

In case technical assistance is required, the subjected MustGather data should be uploaded to PMR for problem analysis. Please refer to the following technote for detail instruction:
