Abstract

With the release of WebSphere Application Server for z/OS Version 7.0 comes a new and improved tool for the customization and migration of the runtime environments. The new tool is called the "WCT" (WebSphere Customization Tools). WCT is a workstation tool (Windows or Linux) based on Eclipse, and within the WCT are two functions -- the PMT for the customization and creation of the WebSphere z/OS runtime; and the MMT for the customization of the jobs used to migrate a runtime to V7.This presentation is intended to introduce the reader to the tool, and to position the key concepts of the tool so the tool can be effectively used for a WebSphere for z/OS Version 7.0 environment.
