Websphere Application Server V8.5.5 is an application foundation tailored for single server to moderately sized configurations of departmental or large-scale, dynamic web applications requiring web tier clustering and failover across up to five application server instances, and a variety of pricing alternatives. Centralized administration of WebSphere Application Server is available through the Flexible Management feature of WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment. It includes both the Liberty profile and the full profile WebSphere Application Server. The Liberty Profile capabilities include a superset of those found in WebSphere Application Server Liberty Core, providing additional programming models such as Web Services and Java Message Service. Liberty profile servers can be members of collectives, enabling them to be managed by a collective controller from a Network Deployment installation.

This product is only available via Passport Advantage. Installs as PID 5733W85 on the IBM i system.
Note: You must also order the IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 8.5 Group PTF for your IBM i release. The Group PTF updates IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 8.5.x and must be applied immediately after installing the product on IBM i.
