webMethods Knowlegebase : When using LDAP authentication getting casting exceptions and not able to access MWS and IS (1759610)

Troubleshooting

Problem

The users from LDAP were added to the appropriate roles, but when a LDAP user is authenticated to MWS and IS the following exceptions are raised. Please note that based on log files that user is able to successfully authenticated.

MWS exception:

com.webmethods.portal.portlet.wm_xt_ldapdirsvc.view.LdapDirUserView cannot be cast to com.webmethods.portal.service.dir.IDirGroup
