Troubleshooting


Problem

At global ressource settings (IS level ), you can define a Server Thread Pool as below

* Maximum Threads = 500

* Minimum Threads = 10

When monitoring the JVM in which the IS is running (by using a JMX port + VisulaVM tool) , we have noticed that a pool of 500 threads is all the time allocated, althought at IS level, 90% of these 500 threads are not used.

Explain why all these 500 threads are considered as used at JVM level ?

Can we use a specific setting at IS level or JVM level to avoid to allocate not used threads or to release them when they are in a waiting or sleeping states since X minutes ?
