webMethods Knowlegebase : Migrate existing FTP process from Microsoft IIS to ActiveTransfer - user access query (1808631)

Troubleshooting

Problem

Migrating existing FTP process from Microsoft IIS to webMethods ActiveTransfer and facing some user access challenges on directories.

The user account has access to certain root directory when logged in, however it is not clear how to provision the same with ActiveTransfer Virtual File System (VFS).

E.g., Say you have a physical path " \\xxxxx\xxxxxx\xxxxxxx\SAV\SAV_X1_VG_TestInfoLoad\Output\backup" in IIS Root directory for that user is set as "\SAV_X1_VG_TestInfoLoad", so when User logs in MS IIS, user is directed to root folder where user can only see the folder listed under SAV_X1_VG_TestInfoLoad.

So, we have created a Virtual folder in MFT with name "SAV_X1_VG_TestInfoLoad" and mapped this using SMB Protocol V2 to physical location \\xxxxx\xxxxxx\xxxxxxx\SAV\SAV_X1_VG_TestInfoLoad\. Trying to FTP to ActiveTransfer, what we see is SAV_X1_VG_TesttInfoLoad\ SAV_X1_VG_TestInfoLoad\Output.
