webMethods Knowlegebase : Fail to "Get Host Key" while creating an SFTP Server Alias (1785133)

Troubleshooting

Problem

Create an SFTP Server Alias by navigate to Integration server(IS) Administrator page: Settings > SFTP > Create Server Alias.

Provide value on for "Alias", "Host Name or IP Address", "Port Number" fields.

Click “Get HOST Key” button it will fail with the following error:-

[ISS.0147.9010] Cannot get host key from server [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]:22. Details: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Session.connect: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: recv failed

What is working

-----------------------------

1/ SFTP connection working if user connecting to target SFTP server using WinSCP, putty and Filezilla on the problematic box using same SFTP IP and SFTP port.

2/ Using the same for "Alias", "Host Name or IP Address", "Port Number" fields to connect to the same target SFTP server on other environment which install with lower fix(IS_9.5_SP1_Core_Fix5), “Get HOST Key” button is working.

What is not working

User fail to create an SFTP Server Alias on problematic box, after copy “Host Key” from lower environment(working environment) to problematic environment.
