webMethods Knowlegebase : Cannot upgrade to webMethods Adapter for SAP 10.1 (1798746)

Problem

Upgraded webMethods environment from v9.8 to v10.1 a while ago.

Just realized that there is something called webMethods Adapter for SAP 10.1 and would like to try it out.

The problem is site can download it using the Software AG Installer, but cannot install it using the Installer and the following error is seen:

"You cannot upgrade this product by overinstalling it"

Instead, upgrade using a side-by-side procedure..."

If site uses the Software AG Update Manager (SUM) utility to update using the image downloaded in the above step then they get the following error:

"The exit code is 224."

The launcher.log shows:

"The given image does not contain 'components' directory...." (see attachments)"

Also, when using the SUM utility to connect to Software AG's EMPOWER website, SUM cannot find the product.

How is it possible to upgrade the old webMethods SAP Adapter 7.1 to the new webMethods Adapter for SAP 10.1?
