webMethods Knowlegebase : Bad Performance or Deadlocks With Microsoft SQL Server Database (1711955)

Troubleshooting

Problem

Original Article Number : 0 : I have configured a JDBC connection pool to work with a Microsoft SQL Server database. I am using the DataDirect ConnectJDBC driver sl53_cj32.jar that was installed with the Integration Server. Sometimes I see a deadlock error in the logs saying:

java.sql.SQLException: [wm-cjdbc32-0014][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Transaction (Process ID xx) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction.

Also, the performance of the connection is very bad.
