Question
Where can I change the WASADMIN account password within TSRM?
Answer
To change the wasadmin password, you have to know what is the wasadmin role in Websphere Application Server (WAS). Under Integrated Solutions Console (ISC) you can find the "Bind
distinguished name" of the repository which authorized the access to that specific LDAP (the "primary administrative user name" which authorizes the WAS console access) and all the access maximo needs to make use of the LDAP.
Usually there is one user for each of these fields. If this is the case and your "primary administrative user name" is wasadmin do the following:
1. Change the wasadmin password on LDAP.
2. Fix PSI part considering c:\ibm\SMP as install folder:
- If you have an after April release install, open c:\ibm\SMP\etc\install.properties and add: was.AdminPassword=<your_password>
If you have a before April release install, overwrite maximo.properties with maximo.properties_orig and add: was.AdminPassword=<your_password>
You may also run: c:\ibm\SMP\maximo\tools\maximo\encryptproperties.bat.
3. Once this is done and after you logon to TSRM, go to System Configuration > Platform Configuration > Cron Task Setup -> VMMSYNC there is a "Credential" attribute, which contains the password, and change this value to your new password.
