How do I resolve the java message: "Warning: JIT compiler "jitc" not found. Will use Interpreter." on AIX
Resolving The Problem
Ensure that library search path includes:
jdk base/lib/aix/native_threads
and set environment variable JAVA_COMPILER as documented in JDK README as necessary.
(Note that the LIBPATH setting to use appears to not be mentioned in the JDK README - at least the one with the 1.1.8.10 fileset - and was only just discovered. The JAVA_COMPILER settings are documented.)
