"Waiting for server response" message in Firefox when the server is disconnected from network

Troubleshooting


Problem

This issue will be encountered when working in Offline mode in Firefox. When the 'Work Offline' mode is enabled, users will be prevented from being directed to the login page in Cognos Express.

Symptom

When attempting to launch IBM Cognos Express Manager or the IBM Cognos Express Welcome Page with the default URL, a 'Waiting for server response' message is displayed and the login page does not load.
