Volume Threshold Alerts sends you alerts based on volumethresholds you determine and enables you to monitor the amount ofdata that travels through your Sterling B2B CollaborationNetwork mailslotprior to receiving your monthly invoice.

If you are configured for Volume Threshold Alerts you can:

• Receive the following thresholdalerts:
  • Interchange size level alert ? alertwhen the total number of bytes in an interchange exceeds a specifiedvalue.
  • Filesize alert (if using non-EDI) ? alert when the total number of bytesin a file exceeds a specified value.
  • Dailylevel alert ? alert when the number of kilocharacters processed ina day exceeds a specified value. You can allow the specified valueto be different for each day of the week.
  • Monthly level alert ? alert when the total number of kilocharactersprocessed in a month exceeds a specified value. You can allow thespecified value to be different for each month of the year.
• Allow the alerts to be configured by customer support or set yourown alerts using Sterling Document Tracking.
• Allow alerts to be set up at the mailslot and/or EDI ID level.
• Allow the alerts to be sent to multiple recipients.
• Allow recipients to specify their own alert criteria.

  For examplee-mail mary@123.com when a threshold reaches 10 kilocharacters (10000characters) but do not mail joe@123.com until the threshold reaches20 kilocharacters (20000 characters).

For daily and monthly level alerts you will receive one alertwhen the alert criterion is met for the specified time period. Ifyou change your profile and increase the alert values additionalalerts may be generated. For example mary@123.com receives a notificationwhen her daily limit for Monday has reached 10 kilocharacters.

Using volume threshold alerts you can view the kilocharacter countsfor the current day and month. This will enable you to see how closeyou are to the thresholds values that you set up. For more informationabout setting up your alert criteria see Setting Up Volume Threshold Alerts.
