Visual Studio crashes when using ClearQuest Integration

Problem

In Microsoft Visual Studio, a crash occurs when you click IBM Rational ClearQuest Front Desk.

Symptom

An application crash occurs when you click Front Desk. Front Desk is the main tab of Rational ClearQuest in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. An application error log is recorded for the failure in the system log.
