Viewing Master Data Upload Status

After you have uploaded a master data file for an entitytype (also called as upload type) you can view the status of theuploaded records and any errors that occurred during upload. The detailsthat you can view include the upload type status of the upload jobtotal records in the uploaded file success records count and failedrecords count.

About this task

You can view the upload status of a master data file andalso cancel a master data file upload that is currently in progressfrom the Master Data Upload screen.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Master Data Uploaderscreen. To navigate to the Master Data Uploader screen perform thefollowing steps:
    1. Log in to Sterling Business Center as anEnterprise Administrator.
    2. From the System Setup homepage expand the Configurations menuand click Master Data Upload.

      TheMaster Data Uploader screen is displayed.

  2. In the Related Tasks panel click ViewUpload Status. The Upload Status panelis displayed. The fields in the Upload Status panelare described in the following table:
    FieldDescription
    Upload TypeIndicates the entity type whose master data file is uploaded.
    Created OnIndicates the date of the master data file uploadfor the corresponding entity type.
    Uploaded ByIndicates the user who uploaded the master datafile for the corresponding entity type.
    Upload StatusIndicates the current upload status of the masterdata file for the corresponding entity type. The statuses are NewWork In Progress Completed Failed and Cancelled.
    Total CountIndicates the number of records in the uploadedmaster data file for the corresponding entity type.
    SuccessIndicates the number of records in the masterdata file that have been successfully uploaded into the system.
    FailureIndicates the number of records that failedin the corresponding master data file. Click the hyperlink to downloadthe error file in .csv format. This error file containsthe failed records and the error messages that describe the reasonsfor the failure.
    Notes:
    • The hyperlink in the Failure field is enabledonly if the upload status of the corresponding master data file iseither Completed or Cancelled and at least one record has failedin the corresponding master data file.
    • Click the Refresh button to refresh thedisplay of the field values such as success and failure counts inthe Upload Status panel.
    • The error file does not contain the header fields of the correspondingmaster data file.
    • If the Upload Status panel contains a largenumber of entity types the entity types are displayed in multiplepages. To view the status of the entity types across the multiplepages click the Navigate Previous icon to navigate to theprevious page and click the Navigate Next icon to navigateto the next page.
    • You can also determine the number of entity types that are displayedon each page by selecting a value from the Results perpage drop-down list. The available values are 152550 and 100.
