Viewing Data Details

About this task

The DataDetail window displays when you click the more informationicon next to search result data and displays information about anitem and its related processing events.

To view this informationuse the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Use one of the options in the Data menuto search for data.
  2. Locate the data you want from the list and click the moreinformation icon to display the Data Detail window.

Results

At the top of the page the Data Detail windowreproduces the general tracking information from the previous pageincluding the overall status of the data. Each customer has a differentview in this area and a different list of fields. In addition to thegeneral tracking information this page may include the followingfields:

FieldDescription
EDI StandardX12 or EDIFACT depending on what type of EDIis contained in the document.
Process IDIdentifies the business process number of theworkflow that tracked the document.
Source Message IDIdentifies the protocol used to send or receivethe message.
  • AS2 is the AS2 Message Identifier from the Message-ID HTTP header
  • MQ inbound is the batch number from IBM? SterlingB2B Collaboration Network
  • MQ outbound is the MQ message identifier of the message that wasput on the MQ queue
Destination Message IDIdentifies the protocol used to send or receivethe message.
  • AS2 is the AS2 Message Identifier from the Message-ID HTTP header
  • MQ inbound is the batch number from IBM SterlingB2B Collaboration Network
  • MQ outbound is the MQ message identifier of the message that wasput on the MQ queue

The DataDetail window displays information about each processingevent associated with the data. The table includes the following information:

Data Detail ColumnDescription
StatusIndicates the status of the event. The numberof events and their status relates to the overall status of the data.
  • If the overall status is green all three processing events arelisted with green status. The data was received processed and sentto the receiver successfully.
  • If the overall status is yellow the received and processed eventsare listed with green status. The Sent eventhas not yet occurred.
  • If the overall status is red the received event is green. Howevereither the Processed event or the Sent eventis red depending on which event failed.
  • If the Processed event is deferred thedata has been processed but the enveloping process has been deferred/delayeduntil a predetermined schedule has been met or a file size limit hasbeen reached. See About Tracking Information formore information on deferred processing.
Event Date/TimeDate and time the event occurred.
EventIdentifies the processing event such as SentProcessed or Received. Use the Event Details tabto view this information.

Note: Depending on your configurationyour business flow may display additional events that are generatedby your unique tracking requirements. For information on these messagessee Additional Tracking Events .

FileLists a file with more information that can beviewed. Click the line and look at the File Details tabto view the first 32K of the file after the event finished processing. For Processed events the file shows theresults of translation. For Received eventsthe file may show the result of some pre-processing by IBM so it may not reflectexactly what the sender transmitted.

Use the following steps to view detailed information aboutan event:

  1. Use one of the options in the Data menuto search for data.
  2. Locate the event you want from the list and click the more informationicon to display the Data Detail window.
  3. In the Data Detail window highlight theevent you want and choose one of the following:
    • To view the first 32K of the data that was processed click the FileDetails tab.
    • To see processing information for the associated event clickthe Event Details tab.
Note: If a file is difficult to read you can adjust its displayby specifying line breaks. If the data includes a delimiter or segmentterminator enter that character in the Character fieldand click Go. Alternatively if you know thetotal number of characters in a line select Line Lengthenter the number and click Go.

Whenyou return to the search results the item that you just viewed displayswith a purple background. This indicator displays until you performanother search or refresh the screen.
