Introduced with HW Gen4 on Power 9 Systems also known as the G Models of the Power 9 System family.
Steps
What is it?
VET2 is just an extension of more VET- like capabilities that can be turned on.
Nothing new as far as technology is concerned.
With the use of VET2 Code IBM is enabling more functions for a System.
The functions that are enabled are based on, the Feature Codes that had been ordered for a System.
Most of the additional licensed capabilities are related to IBM i attributes, but others do exist.
Where can I find the VET2 Code?
The VET2 Codes are available on the same website as all other variants of Power Capacity on Demand Codes.
In the IBM Entitled Systems Support side.
After sign-in in with your IBMid, you register the Hardware Serial number of your Power system. Then, select Tab My Entitled Hardware and select the Power Capacity on Demand as highlighted in the screen capture.
Next head down to the Existing Capacity on Demand codes section and Enter the System Type and Model followed by the Serial number then select Find Machine as shown in the screen capture.
You see the VET2 in the results window as shown.
How do I enter the VET2 Code for my Power System?
1. If your System is HMC-managed, use following flow.

Select the System you want to enter the VET2 Code
Licensed capabilities
Enter Activation Code
Enter the VET2 Code in the window that opens.
1. If your System is a non-HMC managed, choose method based on your System.
2.1. If your System is equipped with an eBMC based Service Processor, use following flow in ASMi.
Login with admin authority
Resource Management
Capacity on demand
Activation
Enter the Activation Code and select Activate.
2.1. If your System is equipped with an FSP-based Service Processor, use following flow in ASMi.
Login with admin authority
Expand On Demand Utilities
CoD Activation
Enter the Activation Code in the CoD Activation Code field
Select continue
