Troubleshooting


Problem

This technote explains what the error, Version data file had the wrong length expected: #, found 0, means as it relates to the source container of an IBM® Rational® ClearCase MultiSite® VOB during synchronization and provides instructions to resolve the issue.

Symptom


The following excerpt is a complete look at the error generated during synchronization:

Note: This error has a zero for the found value and references the source container (s/sdft) as the directory.

  • If the reference is to a source container (s/sdft) and the value of the found section is a positive number refer to technote 1221903.

  • If the reference is to a cleartext container (c/cdft) and the value of the found section is a positive number or zero refer to technote 1221901.
