Troubleshooting
Problem
I.T. administrator opens Event Viewer (EventVwr) on the Controller application sever. Inside the application log, there are periodic messages/errors recorded.
Symptom
Typically, there will be one (or both) of the following two events recorded every minute or two:
- Event Type: Error
Event Source: VBRuntime
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
Date: 15/01/2010
Time: 15:40:47
User: N/A
Computer: SERVERNAME
Description:
The VB Application identified by the event source logged this Application CognosCtrlBatchServer: Thread ID: 872 ,Logged: GetNextJobInQueue(No UDL found to scan)
and/or:
- Event Type: Information
Event Source: VBRuntime
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
Date: 15/01/2010
Time: 15:40:47
User: N/A
Computer: SERVERNAME
Description:
The VB Application identified by the event source logged this Application CognosCtrlBatchServer: Thread ID: 872 ,Logged: Date: 15/01/2010 15:40:47, No Database found to process
