Problem

This technote identifies an issue that can occur with IBM Rational ClearQuest 7.1 when using the "configureJRC.bat" file to configure the Report Server for Crystal Reports.

Symptom

The batch file configureJRC.bat is run during the configuration of the Report Server, as specified in the Configuring the ClearQuest Report Server for Crystal Reports topic of the 7.1 ClearQuest Information Center. The configuration instructions state that in the parameters for this batch file, you must specify the path to the zip file containing the Java Runtime Component (JRC). For example:

configureJRC c:\JRC\CrystalReports_CQ_JRC_11_1_.8.5.zip

However, when following this direction, this error can occur:

<path>\CrystalReports_CQ_JRC_11_1_.8.5.zip""=="-h" was unexpected at this time.

Where <path> is the path leading up to the zip file name.
