VA01: WebSphere Business Events - Tool for ReST API exploration

The Tool for ReST API exploration is a utility and sample provided to support developers working with the WebSphere Business Events (WBE) REST API.

Download Description

The WebSphere Business Events - Tool for ReST API exploration can be used to issue HTTP requests to WBE’s REST programming interface, using data formats such as JSON or XML. The tool is configured with several predefined requests specific to WBE, allows arbitrary REST requests to be issued to WBE, and can be modified to customize the predefined requests. It is provided to support application developers working with the WBE REST API who wish to formulate requests and check response data because issuing requests to REST services often requires programming effort which can be time consuming.

Possible Uses
The SupportPac can be used in any scenario where REST requests need to be quickly formulated and issued to WBE, and where response data needs to be examined. It can be used to try out REST requests prior to programming, or as a utility to speed up and simplify working with the REST API. It may also be used as the basis of JavaScript based web pages that issue requests to WBE.
