Question

What do you need to know if you plan to use IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) V8 and V8.5 and IBM HTTP Server (IHS) V8 and V8.5 with IBM Rational ClearCase, Rational ClearQuest, or Rational RequisitePro?

Cause

Rational ClearCase, ClearQuest, and RequisitePro Web components cannot be installed until WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server are installed.

Answer

IBM WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server must be installed prior to deployment of Rational ClearCase, Rational ClearQuest and Rational RequisitePro web components.

The following table shows the supported configurations of IBM WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server and Rational ClearCase, Rational ClearQuest and Rational RequisitePro.

Note that WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server must be at the same major version.
