Troubleshooting
Problem
When the SAzOS SETTIMER command (AOFRAATA) is used to delete a timer, SAzOS returns a message to the SETTIMER Panel (AOFKATI) but no message in the NETLOG.
Symptom
You will see the following message on panel AOFKATI if the delete is successful -
AOF116I REQUESTED TIMERS WERE DELETED
but no corresponding message is written to the NETLOG.
Cause
No message is written by design, SETTIMER is a OPERATOR function and panel.
Diagnosing The Problem
Check NETLOG and there will be no message in the NETLOG associated with the delete.
Resolving The Problem
Add the following statement to AOFEXINIT -
INGCNTL SET COMMAND_LOGGING=YES
The will cause any command action to be logged in the NETLOG including a change to timers using the SAzOS version of SETTIMER.
Ex: AOF705I userid issued command SETTIMER with DELETE ID=timerid
