Troubleshooting
Problem
This document describes how to use the ldapdelete API to remove the entry "user" from LDAP and how to reset the LDAP administrator password.
Resolving The Problem
The following command can be used to remove the entry "user" from LDAP in using QShell (QSH).
ldapdelete -D cn=administrator -w password "cn=user, ou=IS, o=MyCompany, c=US"
Where cn=administrator must be the administrator DN that was configured when setting up the LDAP server, and password must be the password that was configured during the setup of the LDAP server.
If you have forgotten the Administrator password, the password can be reset with the command
ldapdelete -D cn=administrator -w password "cn=user, ou=IS, o=MyCompany, c=US"
Where cn=administrator must be the administrator DN that was configured when setting up the LDAP server, and password must be the password that was configured during the setup of the LDAP server.
If you have forgotten the Administrator password, the password can be reset with the command
CHGDIRSVRA INSTANCE(QUSRDIR) DN('cn=administrator' password)
Note: The LDAP server must be restarted to reflect the new password.
