IBM Support

Using the HTTP Proxy with localhost traffic

Troubleshooting

Problem

HTTP traffic sent to the same local machine does not pass through the IBM Rational Integration Tester Proxy Agent

Symptom

The server application and Java-based client run on the same machine.
The client application has been configured as follows:

-Dhttp.proxyHost=localhost -Dhttp.proxyPort=3128

You are unable to record messages sent from the local Java application to the server application as the messages do not go through the HTTP Proxy.
