Problem
This technote identifies an issue that can occur in IBM Rational ClearQuest. "A BIRT exception occurred" error occurs when using calculated fields in BIRT reports.
Symptom
Create a calculated field in a BIRT report. When you run the report, this error occurs:
A BIRT exception occurred.
