Question
The console can be used to create DB2 Alphablox 4.0/5.0/8.0 applications as an alternative to creating applications via the administration web pages.
Answer
The DB2® Alphablox console can be used to create Alphablox 4.0/5.0/8.0 applications for Tomcat, WebSphere® and WebLogic Web Application Servers (WAS). The console can be used as an alternative to creating applications via DB2 Alphablox administration web pages.
Alphablox Console commands for creating an Alphablox 4.0/5.0/8.0 application
DB2 Alphablox administration users can enter the Alphablox console commands below to create an Alphablox application :
create application AppName
set application AppName Description "This is an IBM App"
set application AppName AppSessionTimeout 30
set application AppName Support3xPageHandling false
set application AppName AppPageHtmlLinksEnabled false
These commands create an application named AppName. When using these commands, replace AppName with the name of your application. After you have finished entering the commands stop and start DB2 Alphablox. Your Web Application Server (WAS) may require additional steps to install the application as a WAS application. Refer to your DB2 Alphablox documentation for information on adding applications to WebSphere or WebLogic.
The console can be started from a telnet session or from the DB2 Alphablox administration. Refer to your DB2 Alphablox documentation for starting the console.
Note: The console command "get app AppName" allows you to view the application settings for the application named AppName.
