User does
not have permission to use one of the flags given error when trying to connect Ingres database

Troubleshooting


Problem

When trying to connect to Ingres database via data source connection ( Cognos Administration ), the following error will be displayed: User does not have permission to use one of the flags given

Symptom

User creates an ODBC ( 32 ODBC ) to connect to Ingres.

User account associated with this ODBC connection is a database user account that already exists on Ingres database.

ODBC connection is successfully tested. User defined can successfully connect to Ingres.

User creates then a datasource connection ( Cognos administration ) using this ODBC definition in order to connect to Ingres.

When this data source connection is tested the following error is displayed:

User does not have permission to use one of the flags given
