Problem

This technote explains how to resolve a "User does not have the CONNECT privilege" error that might occur when using IBM® Rational® ClearQuest® with an IBM DB2® back-end database.

Symptom


When trying to connect to a schema repository or user database, you receive this error message:

[IBM][CLI Driver]SQL 1060N User "X" does not have the CONNECT privilege.  SQLSTATE=08004.
