Use of 'AttachEvent' Method in VB Script

Troubleshooting

Problem

The Executive Viewer object (ViewCtrl) has an 'AttachEvent' Method to attach an Event handler. In Internet Explorer version 5.5 and higher, HTML elements also have an 'attachEvent' Method. When working with VB Script, the 'AttachEvent' Method for Executive Viewer is not executed because the 'attachEvent' Method of the HTML element is executed first. This article describes how to use the 'AttachEvent' Method for the Executive Viewer object when working with VB Script. [

Note: Consult the 'Executive Viewer Integration Guide' for explanation about the 'AttachEvent' Method.

]Note: This article does not apply when working with Javascript, because Javascript is case sensitive. For Internet Explorer, the Method is called 'attachEvent' Method. For the Executive Viewer object, this is called 'AttachEvent'.
