Abstract
To enable you to quickly upgrade from Tivoli Storage Productivity Center Version 5.2.x to 5.2.y, the ability to install or upgrade Jazz for Service Management and Tivoli Common Reporting and Tivoli Storage Productivity Center reports during the upgrade process depends on the status of your current reporting environment.
If you do not have any of the reporting components installed before the upgrade, the upgrade process is streamlined to include only those steps required to upgrade Tivoli Storage Productivity Center Version 5.2.x to 5.2.y.
If you do have some or all of the reporting components installed before the upgrade, the ability to install or upgrade the reporting components during the upgrade process depends on your reporting environment as described in this tech note.
If you are unable to install or upgrade the reporting components during the upgrade process and you want to use Tivoli Storage Productivity Center reports with Tivoli Storage Productivity Center Version 5.2.y, you can install the reporting components after you complete the upgrade.
This procedure applies to version 5.2.15 and earlier.
