Upgrade to patch 4319 causes Unix SFTP Clients to return "Corrupted MAC on Input" with 32K or larger files

Troubleshooting

Problem

Upgrade to patch 4319 causes Unix SFTP Clients to return "Corrupted MAC on Input" with 32K or larger files

Symptom

Customer recently upgraded to patch 4319, and following the upgrade, and SFTP GET operation of files larger than 32768 bytes to Unix SFTP clients causes the transaction to fail with the error "Corrupted MAC on Input" on the client side. This did not occur prior to the upgrade to 4319, and is reproducible on the customer's system from multiple machines both inside and outside the network. Files smaller than 32K do not cause this error. Customer SFTP Server is HPUX on Itanium.

Error Message

"Corrupted MAC on Input" on UNIX SFTP clients. WinSCP works fine.
