Updating Your Preferences

Before you begin

The Update Preferences screen displays two options foryour review:

  • DCE Error Reports
  • Publication Report Preferences

    TheData Compliance Engine (DCE) Report preferences section of the screenis as follows:

Procedure

  1. Select the method for receiving the DCE report.

    WebOnly means the results will be posted to the File Managementsection of the Sterling Data SynchronizationManager homepage.

    Email and Web means an e-mail responsewith the results will be sent including a notification that the resultshave posted to the File Management section of the Sterling Data SynchronizationManager HomePage.

  2. In the Additional Recipients box enter the e-mail addressfor any additional recipients for the report. Separate all e-mailaddresses with a semicolon (;).

    The Publication ReportPreferences section of the Update Preferences screen is as follows:

  3. Select the Delivery Method for the Publication Report.

    Web Only means the report will onlybe available on the Sterling Data SynchronizationManager Website.

    AS2/FTP and Web (available onlyto Hosted EX clients) means the report will be sent using your AS2or FTP connection and be available on the Sterling Data SynchronizationManager Website.

    Email and Web means an e-mail responsewith the report will be sent including being available on the Sterling Data SynchronizationManager Website.

  4. In the Additional Recipients box enter the e-mail addressfor any additional recipients of the report. Separate all e-mail addresseswith a semicolon (;).
  5. Select the Report Format.

    Excel meansthe report will be a Microsoft Excelspreadsheet file format.

    Delimited Text File meansthe report will be a text file with data separated (delimited) bythe pipe ( | ) character (available only to Hosted EX clients).

    Youcan view a sample of each type of report.

  6. Select the Report Type.

    Full Refresh meansthat all responses for published items will be included in the report.

    Incremental meansthat only responses received since the last report will be includedin the report.

    Note: To update preferences later select Administration > Update Preferences.
  7. Click NEXT>>.
