The updatedb command fails when installing Maximo Anywhere

Troubleshooting


Problem

When installing Maximo Anywhere, the updatedb command fails to complete due to orphaned start center templates.

Symptom

The following error is shown in the reconfiguretemplatequerylinks log file:

Tue Oct 10 20:37:56 EDT 2017 ERROR: null

The trace log shows the following error detail:


[runUpdateDB] Reconfigsctemplatequerylinks process ends : ERROR.
[runUpdateDB] Please check the log file.
[runUpdateDB] java.lang.NullPointerException
[runUpdateDB] at java.io.StringReader.<init>(StringReader.java:44)
[runUpdateDB] at psdi.tools.ReconfigSCTemplateQueryLinks.processTemplates(Unknown Source)
