Content
The migration of Spool File Archive users, report groups, report definitions, and migration policies (storage sets) to Common Server now uses Extensible Markup Language (XML) to migrate the objects. When you run the QRLRMIG migration program, the Content Manager OnDemand ARSXML program is used to process the XML. With this update, the performance of user and report definition migration is substantially improved.
The updated migration tool is available with Content Manager OnDemand for iSeries Version 5.4 PTF SI40481. You must also be running server version 8.4.1.7 of Content Manager OnDemand Common Server.
A detailed Migration Reference document, which replaces Appendix A of the Common Server Planning and Installation Guide Version 5.4, provides the details for using the updated tool. The Migration Reference is available at the Related URL link below. Information regarding the ARSXML program can be found in the chapter titled Importing and exporting objects through batch administration in the Content Manager OnDemand for i: Common Server Administration Guide.
