Steps on how to Update your Profile

Updating Your Profile 

It is very easy to update your profile and account settings on the IBM Support site. To update your profile settings:
  1. Visit the IBM Support Site at https://ibm.com/mysupport.
  2. If you are not already signed into the community, click the user icon in the upper-right corner of any community page, then click Log In, and then sign in with your username and password.

  3. Once you have signed in, click the user icon in the top right of any page in the IBM Support Community, and then click Profile & Settings. The Support preferences and settings page displays.

  4. If it is not currently selected, click the Profile tab, and then make changes to the any of its fields. The fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.

    • Under the avatar image, click Edit to change your profile picture, and then follow the instructions on the Upload File window. You can upload a JPG, GIF, or PNG file with a maximum size of 16 Mb.

    • Edit your First name or Last name.
    • Confirm your Email address and Phone Number are correct. Click Edit your Email address or Phone number to update this information in your IBM.com profile. Your changes automatically update your Support site profile.
      Note: The phone number shown here is the Primary Phone Number you specified in your IBM.com profile.
    • Change your Display name, which the name displayed on your posts on your support requests.
      Note: Your Display name must be unique.
    • Select your Preferred language for site translation.The Support site automatically translates into the language you select when you save your profile settings.
    • Select your Preferred language for case communication, This is the language IBM support will use on its messages to you about your cases.
    • Select your Time Zone.
  5. If you selected a Preferred language for case communication other than English, select whether you are Willing to communicate in English
    Note: IBM will do its best to accommodate your preferred language.

  6. Click Save. Your changes take effect immediately.
